Smith Garb And Associates Cc is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a ~70-vehicle corporate fleet. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on knowledge of vehicle maintenance, licensing, insurance administration, and cost control.

You will manage documentation, coordinate servicing with providers, generate Excel reports, and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards while working independently across multiple priorities.

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a fleet of approximately 70 company vehicles.

The suitable candidate must have experience in either the hospitality, property or car rental industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a fleet of approximately 70 company vehicles.
• Ensure all vehicle licences, licence discs, insurance policies, and related documentation are current and compliant.
• Conduct daily inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
• Identify potential mechanical issues by carrying out basic vehicle checks, including under-bonnet inspections, and arrange repairs where required.
• Liaise with service providers, dealerships, and repair workshops to coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure preventative maintenance is completed on time.
• Analyse and report on fleet-related costs, including fuel expenditure, maintenance costs, and insurance.
• Prepare accurate Excel reports and provide management with fleet performance and cost analysis.
• Maintain accurate fleet records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
• Ensure company vehicles comply with all legal and safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience managing a corporate vehicle fleet.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify potential vehicle issues (hands‑on repair experience is not required).
• Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, licensing, and insurance administration.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to compile and analyse reports.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's licence.
