About the Role

Our client, a logistics company in Richards Bay , is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and operational readiness of their diverse fleet. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of fleet maintenance, including preventative care, repairs, parts inventory, and workshop staff. This critical role ensures the efficiency, safety, and compliance of the fleet, minimizing downtime and optimizing operational costs. You will work closely with drivers, mechanics, and external service providers to maintain a high level of fleet performance, contributing significantly to the company's logistical operations in the KwaZulu-Natal region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance workshop, including staff supervision and workload management.
• Manage the procurement and inventory of spare parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.
• Ensure all fleet vehicles comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate repairs and service with internal mechanics and external service providers.
• Analyze fleet maintenance data to identify trends, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet management or a senior maintenance role within the transportation or logistics sector.
