Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport goods, supplies, and equipment to and from vineyard sites, wineries, and distribution points in and around Paarl, Western Cape.
• Ensure timely and safe deliveries according to operational requirements and seasonal demands.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on assigned vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
• Follow designated routes efficiently, adapting to vineyard-specific access conditions.
• Maintain accurate logs of all trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials as required.
• Communicate effectively with vineyard managers, winery staff, and logistics coordinators.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or delivery challenges promptly.
• Contribute to maintaining a high standard of operational efficiency within the wine industry supply chain.

Requirements

• Valid South African Driver's License.
• Proven experience as a driver, with experience in agricultural or rural logistics being a significant advantage.
• Clean driving record.
• Intimate knowledge of Paarl, Western Cape, its surrounding wine farms, and challenging access routes.
• Ability to handle a variety of vehicle types and operate them safely in diverse conditions.
• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Capacity to perform manual labor related to loading and unloading.
• Must possess a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
