Job summary

Chainlink SA in Rustenburg is seeking a qualified, trade-tested Fitter & Turner with strong mechanical maintenance experience to join our client. You will fault-find and maintain conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders and slurry pumps.

Chrome plant maintenance experience is highly advantageous. The role requires you to work both independently and as part of a team, starting ASAP and maintaining equipment uptime.

Qualifications

• Qualified Fitter & Turner with trade testing.

Introduction

Our client in Rustenburg is seeking a qualified, trade‑tested Fitter & Turner with strong mechanical maintenance experience. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, perform fault‑finding, and maintain a wide range of plant equipment including conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders and slurry pumps.

Chrome plant maintenance experience will be highly advantageous. The role requires someone medically fit and available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance — Perform maintenance and repairs on plant equipment

Inspections & Fault‑Finding — Conduct inspections, identify faults, and perform preventative maintenance

Conveyor Systems — Maintain and repair conveyor belts and conveyor systems

Crushers — Work on Jaw Crushers and VSI Crushers

Screens & Feeders — Maintain screens, feeders and related equipment

Slurry Pumps — Repair and maintain slurry pumps

Operational Reliability — Ensure equipment remains operational and downtime is minimised

Safety Compliance — Follow all safety procedures and maintenance standards

Minimum Requirements

Qualified Fitter & Turner — Trade Tested

Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience

Experience in Chrome Plant Maintenance (highly advantageous)

Good knowledge of conveyor belts and conveyor systems

Experience with Jaw Crushers and VSI Crushers

Knowledge of screens and feeders

Experience with slurry pumps

Strong mechanical maintenance and fault‑finding skills

Ability to work independently and within a team

Medically fit
