Job summary

Bosch Rexroth Africa is seeking a qualified fitter to assemble and commission hydraulic systems in industrial and mobile applications. The role requires post matric or N3 with Fitter Red Seal, plus proven fit­ter experience and ability to read drawings.

Hydraulic knowledge will be a strong advantage, with overtime and travel as needed. You will work in a hands‑on capacity, diagnosing faults, repairing equipment, and ensuring safe operation before installation.

Qualifications

• Qualified fitter with Post Matric or N3 and Fitter Red Seal.
• Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Hydraulic system knowledge is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation.
• Perform diagnostic tests to ensure safe operation of machinery.
• Fault-find and repair hydraulic systems and commission updates.
• Read hydraulic circuits and apply knowledge of mobile/industrial hydraulics.

• Post Matric or N3 with Certification as a Fitter Red Seal Trade test.
• Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics.
• Hydraulic skill will be a big advantage.
• Good communication and people skills. (Team Player)
• Work overtime with some standby and availability for some travel.
• Working under pressure.
• Medically fit.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assembling machinery and equipment before installation.
• Performing diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure it's safe.
• Fault finding on hydraulic systems.
• Repairing and replacing equipment and commissioning of systems.
• Reading and understanding of hydraulic circuits.
• A sound knowledge of mobile and industrial hydraulic systems
