Job summary

Greys Personnel seeks a qualified Fitter hydraulic specialist in Uitenhage who is passionate about customer service and has a strong interest in assembling, maintaining and fault-finding on hydraulic systems for industrial and mobile applications.

Qualifications

• Post-Matric qualification or N3.
• Red Seal Trade Test essential.
• Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar technical role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with hydraulic systems will be a strong advantage.
• Sound knowledge of mobile and industrial hydraulic systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Valid Code 8 driver''s licence.
• Medically fit to perform the duties of the position.
• Willingness to work overtime, participate in standby and travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation.
• Perform diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Conduct fault-finding on hydraulic systems.
• Repair and replace equipment and components as required.
• Commission hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Read, interpret and understand hydraulic circuits.
• Apply sound technical knowledge of mobile and industrial hydraulic systems.
• Provide professional customer service and technical support.
