Job summary

Fidelity Services Group is seeking Firefighters in Johannesburg to respond to fire incidents, provide emergency rescue and basic medical care, and train staff in fire safety. The role includes equipment operation, fire prevention activities, and maintaining records under supervision.

Requirements include Grade 12, IFSAC accreditation, NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2, Firefighter II, EMT and First Aid certifications, plus a valid driver’s license and physical fitness. Hazmat knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed firefighter training with related experience.
• Knowledge of fire prevention procedures and fire-fighting systems.
• Capable of emergency medical care and casualty management.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires, rescues and related emergency incidents.
• Operate and maintain firefighting equipment and breathing apparatus.
• Train employees on firefighting theory and practice.
• Conduct health and safety inspections for a safe environment.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Complete computerized incident logs and reporting.
