Job summary

Fidelity Services Group is seeking a Firefighter to respond to fires and emergencies in Gauteng. The role covers firefighting, emergency medical care, rescue operations, training, equipment maintenance and adherence to safety procedures.

Candidates must meet NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2, EMT, Hazmat and related certifications; 2–3 years’ experience; a Code C1 driver license with PrDP; good interpersonal skills and a strict safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum qualification.
• IFSAC Accredited.
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2 certification.
• Firefighter II Certification.
• 2–3 years related experience is essential.
• Valid code C1 drivers license with PrDP.
• Advanced driving experience advantageous.
• Medically and physically fit.
• Hazmat experience and knowledge essential.
• EMT certification.
• First Aid levels 1 to 3.
• Basic Ambulance Attendant.

Responsibilities

• Responding to fires, rescues and related emergency incidents.
• Responding to hazardous substances incidents.
• Extricating casualties and carrying out emergency operations as directed.
• Resuscitating and treating injured persons.
• Operating firefighting equipment and vehicles.
• Providing fire protection duties and training as directed.
• Performing health and safety inspections and safety compliance.
• Documenting shift records and administrative routines.
• Supervisory and line functional personnel related duties.
