Our client in the FMCG industry is currently seeking to employ a Finished Goods Inventory Manager to their team based in Humansdorp, Eastern Cape.

This position is only open to EE candidates.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central being highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools is essential.
  • Solid understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • A valid Code 8 (EB) driver’s licence.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control finished goods inventory levels across all warehouses and storage locations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive inventory policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, demand planning, and logistics teams to align inventory with sales forecasts and customer demand.
  • Analyse inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.Ensure accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Manage product shelf life and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams on promotions and new product launches to ensure inventory readiness.
  • Lead inventory-related projects, including system upgrades and process improvements.
  • Prepare and present inventory performance reports and KPIs to management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, regulatory, quality, and R and D guidelines.
