Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of compliance and governance functions.
- Ensure adherence to applicable financial services legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Monitor and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Identify, assess, and manage regulatory and compliance risks.
- Support business operations through effective governance and risk management practices.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on compliance-related matters.

Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
Professional & Regulatory Requirements
- Must meet the Fit and Proper requirements applicable to the role.
- RE1, RE3, and RE5 certifications are required.
- Relevant FSCA regulatory examination certification is required.
Experience
- Minimum of six (6) years' relevant experience within the financial services sector.
- Proven experience in compliance, governance, risk management, or regulatory oversight.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior compliance or regulatory leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the South African financial services regulatory environment.
