Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant to fill the Financial Reporting Specialist role in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy of financial statements, IFRS compliance, and robust reporting.

You will work on budgeting, audits, and policy development in a collaborative, on-site environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years post-qualification experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and proficiency with SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or equivalent with 5+ years post-qualification experience in financial accounting or reporting.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and regulatory compliance experience.
• Proficiency with SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in a professional services or corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in IFRS.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data.
