Job summary

Outsourced CFO in Cape Town is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant with 5 years PQE CA(SA) to join the finance team. You will support IFRS reporting across the client’s group entities and private equity funds within a multi‑jurisdictional environment in Africa.

Working closely with the Head of Finance, fund administrators and external auditors, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, robust governance and timely fund operations, while enhancing processes and controls.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) with minimum 5 years PQE in funds.
• Experience in fund management or fund administration.
• Strong IFRS financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience in external audits and stakeholder engagement.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting systems experience.
• Detail-oriented with ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Direct private equity or VC fund accounting experience advantageous.
• Experience across multi-jurisdictional Africa fund structures.
• Familiarity with fund accounting platforms (Xero, Investran).

We are seeking a 5 years PQE CA(SA) to join our client, a specialised investment advisory firm, in their Finance team based in Cape Town as a Financial Reporting Accountant. This role supports the financial management and reporting across the client's group entities and private equity funds, offering direct exposure to a sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional private equity environment across Africa.

Working closely with the Head of Finance, investment professionals, fund administrators, external auditors, and institutional investors, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust governance, and seamless fund operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review IFRS-compliant financial statements and comprehensive management reports.
  
• Investor & Audit Oversight: Support investor reporting, external audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  
• Governance & Controls: Maintain robust financial controls and governance standards across group and fund structures.
  
• Fund Accounting: Assist with fund accounting activities, including capital events, treasury/cash flow management, and capital calls/distributions.
