Job summary

Capitec in Stellenbosch is seeking a Reporting Accountant to join a skilled Financial Reporting team. You will deliver statutory, financial and management reporting, applying IFRS standards and driving accurate, compliant reporting. The role requires a CA(SA), completed articles, and 2–3 years post-qualification experience to support technical accounting and stakeholder insights.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial, statutory and management reporting.
• Apply and interpret IFRS standards and emerging requirements.
• Support delivery of high-quality financial information and reporting outputs.
• Assist with technical accounting assessments and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial insights for decision-making.
• Support preparation and review of technical accounting documentation.
• Support preparation and review of reporting deliverables.

• Contribute to reporting processes that meet business, regulatory and governance expectations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights that support decision-making.
• Support the preparation and review of technical accounting documentation and reporting deliverables.

What we're looking for

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)).
• Completed articles and board exams.
• At least 2–3-year post-qualification experience.
• Strong financial accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Sound knowledge and practical application of IFRS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical accounting skills.

It’ll be a bonus if you have

• Financial services, banking or insurance industry exposure.
• Consolidations experience.
• Exposure to JSE-listed reporting environments.
• Experience preparing or reviewing technical accounting memorandums.
• SAP, A4O or financial reporting systems experience.
