Job description

POSITION STATEMENT

To maintain a robust control environment to ensure the health of the financial function, including team leadership, accuracy of reporting and risk management. Primary provider of financial support to all operational departments, facilitating informed decision-making

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cost effective allocation and use of company resources.


• Identify cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements


• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments


• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management


• Act as the financial liaison between finance and operational teams


• Ensure financial alignment with business objectives


• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve financial performance


• Provide financial data and analysis to aid strategic and operational decision-making.


• Support forecasting and long-term financial planning.


• Partner with department heads to evaluate business cases and investment opportunities


• General control environment management


• Support internal and external audits


• Month End Reporting


• Decision support for all operational divisions


• Risk assessment and internal controls management


• Key stakeholder management


• Annual budgeting (at departmental level)


• Quarterly forecasting (at departmental level)


• Manage internal and external deadlines


• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies


• Support operational teams in managing financial exposure


• Streamline financial processes and reporting systems


• Implement tools and systems to enhance financial visibility and control.


• Abide by the set timetables - Adhere to Company policies and departmental procedures


• Abide by Financial Policies and comply with set compliance regulations


• Assist Head of Finance / Chief Financial Officer with any duties they may assign on an ad hoc basis


• To liaise with corporate contacts, build and develop relationships.


• Responsible for cost management
