Qualifications

• Develop and manage annual budget and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced and meticulous Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of their growing enterprise based in Rustenburg, North West . This is a critical on-site position, requiring a dedicated professional to manage all aspects of financial planning, accounting, and reporting. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial data, implement robust internal controls, and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting.
• Develop and manage the company's annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently.
• Coordinate and manage external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Professional certification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior accounting position.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance.
• Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Rustenburg .
