Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a customer-focused professional to advise on a range of products for a defined market. You will be individually accountable for achieving results through your own efforts.

You will provide standard customer service, assess compliance, maintain CRM data, and clarify customer needs while developing relationships and supporting business development and sales opportunities. This role requires Grade 12 or equivalent and emphasises networking within the company.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 4 or equivalent educational qualifier.
• Experience in customer service or sales is advantageous.
• Familiarity with standard compliance and data entry processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on a range of products to an allocated market and are individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.
• Carry out standard customer service activities and handle simple customer inquiries.
• Assess compliance with established standards and protocols for routine inquiries.
• Receive visitors and assist with information requests, referring complex matters to colleagues.
• Ensure CRM data accuracy and record follow-up actions from sales calls.
• Interview customers to clarify requirements using multilevel sales scripts.
• Make calls to develop relationships and be the first contact for queries and complaints.
• Follow mandatory procedures to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support routine business development tasks and identify sales opportunities.
• Input data into spreadsheets or standard formats and explore datasets.
• Demonstrate understanding of networking value within and outside the company.
