Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Compliance Officer for a hybrid role in Pretoria. You will develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs to meet financial regulations, laws, and internal policies, ensuring the organization avoids legal and reputational risks.

The ideal candidate has deep SA regulatory knowledge (FAIS, FICA, POPIA) and a proven track record in a corporate setting, with strong analytical, investigative, and training skills to guide employees and interact with regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years in compliance or risk in financial services.
• Deep knowledge of SA regulations: FAIS, FICA, POPIA.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Experience with compliance management software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust compliance policies across the organization.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify non-compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update internal controls.
• Investigate breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide compliance training and guidance to staff.
