Our client, the world’s leading taste and nutrition company, is seeking a seasoned Finance Compliance and Control professional to support the Finance Director and drive regulatory and financial controls. You will oversee forecasting, statutory reporting, audits, and cross-functional compliance programs.

The role emphasizes solid accounting expertise, process improvement, and SA compliance experience, with SAP and Excel proficiency highly valued.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with CIMA or CA designation and 5-6 years of experience.
• Excel wizardry and SAP knowledge (bonus points!).
• Sharp business sense and knack for improving processes.
• South African compliance experience? Even better!

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial forecasts for the statutory entity.
• Review monthly management accounts.
• Review year-end reporting files and year-end financial statements.
• Annual update of the Control Reporting System (KCRS).
• Assist with internal audits and respond to audit queries.
• Prepare and file local statutory accounts.
• Review divisional recharges and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review and analyse leases (IFRS 16 impact).
• Annual update of insurance questionnaire for risk requirements.
• Provide hands-on support with the annual external audit.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks and ongoing projects.
• Lead financial compliance activities for transfer pricing and M&A.
• Handle taxation and customs duties requirements (income tax, VAT, deferred tax, SARs submissions, duties).
• Execute Company Secretarial duties.
• Plan funding for working capital and CAPEX; prepare cash forecasts.

About the Role:

As a key player, supporting the Finance Director for Compliance and Control (MISA) to keep our client on top of all things compliance, finance, and control!

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial forecasts for the statutory entity
• Review of monthly management accounts
• Review of year end reporting files and year-end financial statements
• Annual update of the Control Reporting System (KCRS)
• Assist with internal audits, submitting the responses to audit queries
• Completion and filing of local statutory accounts
• Review of divisional recharges
• Review of balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and analysis of leases (IFRS 16 impact)
• Annual update of insurance questionnaire for insurance risk requirements
• Provide hands-on support with the annual external audit
• Assist with ad hoc tasks and on-going projects
• Leads the financial compliance activities with regards to:
  • Company transfer pricing requirements
  • M&A activities
• Taxation and Custom Duties Requirements which include:
  • Income Tax and VAT Computations
  • Deferred Tax Models
  • SARs fling requirements and payments for income tax and VAT
  • Adherence to custom duties requirements for import and export transactions
• Company Secretarial Duties
• Funding Requirements for working capital and CAPEX projects
• Cash forecasts

Qualification:
