Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Benoni, operating under a flexible hybrid work model. The role focuses on accuracy of financial records, reporting, and month-end processes.

You will prepare statements, manage the general ledger, perform reconciliations, support external audits, and help ensure compliance with policies. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of experience with Xero or Sage and Excel.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Xero, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage tasks effectively in both an office and remote setting.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
