Job summary

Sigma Connected Group in Cape Town is seeking a Financial Accountant to maintain accuracy, integrity and compliance of financial records, while supporting robust reporting and controls across the business. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant to manage AP, assist with month-end close, reconciliations and audit preparations, and help drive cost efficiencies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in finance or accounting.
• SAICA or SAIPA articles are advantageous.
• Experience with controls, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Accountant with day-to-day Accounts Payable.
• Assist month-end and year-end close processes and roll-forwards.
• Review Accounts Assistant work for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare reconciliations, journals, accruals and related schedules.
• Manage supplier payments and review credit card transactions.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and assist audits.
• Support due diligence reviews and procurement processes.
• Compile monthly management accounts across cost centres.
• Identify improvements to controls and cost efficiencies.
