Job summary

The People Connection (PTY) Ltd in Centurion is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper to join our multinational team. The role requires full-function financial accounting or bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of stock and inventory.

You will handle month-end processes, cashflow and VAT, asset registers, accruals and liaise with General Managers to support budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• BCom degree or similar financial qualification.
• Experience in full-function financial accounting or senior bookkeeping.
• SAIPA or SAICA articles with post-article experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare flash reports and base reports.
• Finalise month-end processes.
• Assist with payroll-related financial processes.
• Review, sign off and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Maintain rental asset registers.
• Maintain fixed asset registers.
• Assist with stock takes and prepare stock variance sheets for the Regional Financial Manager.
• Complete GL reconciliations across the entire balance sheet.
• Process EFT payments and maintain the cashbook.
• Manage creditor payments.
• Prepare and submit VAT and statutory returns.
• Assist with budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare year-end and audit packs.
• Provide financial support to General Managers and regional branches.
• Assist with internal audits.

A large multinational organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper to join its Centurion team.

Requirements

• BCom degree or similar financial qualification
• Full-function financial accounting or senior bookkeeping experience
• Alternatively, SAIPA or SAICA articles with relevant post-article experience
• Strong understanding of stock and inventory
• Experience completing the full accounting cycle, rather than specialising in only one or two areas of the finance function
• Strong balance sheet and GL reconciliation experience
• Experience with month-end, VAT, fixed assets, budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to take ownership of financial processes
