Job summary

Staff Solutions is seeking an experienced Accountant in a South African manufacturing context. You will manage monthly management accounts, VAT, inter-company reconciliations, and budgeting processes using JDE, Hyperion, and SMART.

The role requires precision, strong Excel skills, and effective communication. The ideal candidate has a BCom or BTech in Financial Accounting/Internal Auditing, at least five years of accounting experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• BCom Degree or BTech in Financial Accounting / Internal Auditing
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Accountant
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• CIMA qualification advantageous
• Strong IT skills and proficiency in MS Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Valid driver’s licence

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post standard journals for monthly management accounts
• Prepare and reconcile VAT returns
• Confirm and reconcile inter-company balances with other branches
• Prepare fixed cost and transport analyses for the General Manager
• Prepare tax packs and upload them onto OneSource
• Upload financial statements onto Hyperion / SMART
• Reconcile all ledger accounts using MS Excel
• Prepare the monthly petty cash file for the Financial Manager
• Upload annual budgets and quarterly forecasts onto Hyperion
• Prepare statutory notes on Hyperion
• Assist with various financial reporting and accounting requirements
• Perform any other ad hoc financial and accounting duties as required
