Job summary

TrudyQ Consulting is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a Centurion-based role. The person will manage day-to-day financial administration across multiple entities, maintain accounting records, and support management reporting.

The role requires independence, ownership of the finance function, and accurate, deadline-driven work. Experience with VAT, payroll, and audits is essential, with Sage/Pastel and CaseWare advantageous.

Qualifications

Job description

Financial Accountant job vacancy in Centurion.

This financial services group is seeking an experienced, dependable Financial Accountant to manage day-to-day financial administration across multiple entities.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate accounting records, complete month-end functions and reconciliations, ensure statutory compliance, and support management reporting.

The role requires someone who works independently, takes ownership of the finance function, meets deadlines confidently, and maintains a high level of accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have extensive financial accounting or bookkeeping experience and be able to manage the accounting function through to trial balance with minimal supervision.

Working Hours: 08h00 – 16h00 (Mon – Thursday) | Wednesday’s Remote & Friday’s 08h00 – 13h00.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, BAcc or equivalent accounting qualification
• Completed their SAICA or SAIPA articles (Advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years’ bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Sound understanding of accounting principles
• Experience preparing financial statements/management accounts
• Exposure to VAT, payroll, taxation and audits
• Experience working with multiple companies/entities will be advantageous
• Experience with Sage 50/Pastel Partner
• Experience with CaseWare/Draftworx (Advantageous)
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ideally reside close or within Centurion, Gauteng Region

• Accounts Receivable & Payable
  • Prepare customer and supplier reconciliations
  • Review outstanding debtors and creditors
  • Assist with debt collection on arrear debtors
  • Assist with payment preparations
  • Allocate receipts and payments
• Reporting & Finance Support
  • Assist with daily cash flow updates
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations and reportsCompile audit files and supporting documentation
  • Assist management with financial analysis and ad hoc projects
