Job summary

The Road Accident Fund is seeking an Officer: Finance Support in Cape Town to oversee regional claims payments, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely processing. You will work to fix payment issues, validate banking details and prevent duplicates while maintaining strong stakeholder relations.

You will contribute to internal controls, reporting, and continuous improvement within the division and support multi-stakeholder inquiries with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Commerce/Accounting related field.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a financial environment.
• Experience with SAP and financial software packages.

Responsibilities

• Manage and verify payments in line with DOA by checking accuracy and supporting documents.
• Ensure no duplicate payments and maintain internal controls.
• Attend to and resolve queries timeously from claimants, attorneys and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit management or performance reports and enhance reporting systems.
• Monitor and evaluate claims payment processes for efficiency and compliance.
• Assist in induction and training related to finance payments and procedures.
