Black Pen Recruitment is seeking a Finance Operations Manager for a fast-growing fintech/payments business in Cape Town. You will oversee treasury, reconciliations, payroll prep, and month-end close, and help scale the finance function in a high-transaction environment.

This hands-on role rewards detail, systems thinking, and ownership. Strong exposure to UK and South African entities, experience with lending or interest recognition, and a Big 4 background are highly valued as the team builds

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience in finance operations or related field.
• Experience with UK + South African entities.
• Strong understanding of treasury and cash management, reconciliations, month-end processes.
• Exposure to lending, loan books, or interest recognition.
• Big 4 background preferred.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end reconciliations between payment processors and the platform.
• Treasury operations including daily cash management and supplier payments.
• Payroll inputs preparation and liaison with payroll provider.
• Month-end close and reporting including management accounts.
