Job summary

Edge Executives invites applications for a Finance and Operations Manager to take ownership of the Group's financial management and operating infrastructure, reporting to the CEO and Directors. You will lead a finance and administration team, oversee accounting, payroll, tax and statutory compliance, and coordinate IT and business systems projects.

Success requires strong commercial judgement, organisational skills and hands-on problem-solving in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Financial Management
• An accounting designation or professional designation would be advantageous
• 7–10 years' relevant financial management experience
• At least 3 years' experience supervising a finance/admin team
• Experience overseeing multi-entity accounting and payroll processes
• Strong knowledge of SA payroll, tax and statutory compliance
• Experience with VAT, PAYE, EMP201/EMP501, IRP5 and provisional tax

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for financial management of the Group and related entities
• Oversee monthly accounting across multiple entities
• Review debtors, creditors, bank transactions and reconciliations
• Ensure records are complete and up to date
• Prepare management reports and schedules for decision-making
• Coordinate year‑end audits and liaise with auditors
• Manage payroll processes and related submissions
• Maintain financial controls and documented procedures
• Lead and develop the finance and administration team
• Support governance, records, and compliance processes
• Coordinate IT providers and technology assets
• Oversee facilities, insurance, banking relationships and supplier management
• Identify process improvements to reduce manual work and drive efficiency
• Provide support to Directors on strategic initiatives
