Job summary

Edge Executive Search Group in Johannesburg, Gauteng seeks a Finance and Operations Manager to lead the Group's financial management, payroll, tax, and statutory compliance while driving operational efficiency across multiple entities.

Reporting to the CEO and Directors, you will oversee accounting, budgeting, IT coordination, facilities, and governance, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance.
• Completed accounting designation advantageous.
• 7–10 years’ financial management experience.
• 3+ years’ experience leading finance/administration teams.
• Experience across multiple entities or legal entities.
• Strong knowledge of SA payroll, tax and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for financial management of the Group and entities.
• Oversee monthly accounting across multiple legal entities.
• Review debtors, creditors, journals and general ledger.
• Ensure records are complete and up to date; provide reports.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with auditors and SARS.
• Lead finance and administration team; drive accountability.
• Oversee payroll processes and related submissions; VAT/PAYE/EMP201.
• Coordinate IT providers, 365 administration and tech assets.
• Oversee facilities, insurance, banking relationships; vendor mgmt.
• Lead operational and IT-related projects; seek process improvements.
