We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our client's core finance function. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and leading a dedicated team of three accountants, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, statutory and tax compliance, group reporting, and system automation.

Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and review the output of a team of three accountants, fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
- Financial Operations Oversight: Supervise end-to-end accounting processes, including accounts receivable, client billing, vendor management, intercompany recharging, fixed assets, and working capital.
- Payroll & Benefits Management: Maintain payroll accuracy, commission structures, employee benefit tracking, and overall payroll platform integrity.
- Tax & Statutory Compliance: Oversee timely and accurate submissions for VAT, Provisional Tax, Income Tax, Dividend Tax, PAYE, CIPC, and Department of Labour filings.
- Management Reporting & Insights: Prepare insightful monthly management packs, budget forecasts, profitability metrics, and cost-center performance analysis.
- Audit & Assurance: Manage the annual external audit process and support verification processes, including B-BBEE scorecard assessments.
- Systems & Automation: Drive process efficiency by identifying opportunities to automate workflows, integrate cloud systems, and optimize financial databases.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent financial qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a Financial Manager or senior financial accounting role.
- Direct experience reviewing team deliverables and managing accounting staff.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of SARS statutory filing requirements and tax compliance.
- Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Strong self-drive, high accuracy, and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, PaySpace, or similar SaaS tools).
- Exposure to both South African and UK tax/labor regulations.
- Familiarity with South African B-BBEE Generic Codes of Good Practice.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / financial modeling skills.
- Experience compiling IFRS-compliant financial statements and group management accounts.
