Job summary

KingsleyIrons Recruitment Services CC is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead governance, reporting, and controls for a division. You will oversee shared services, manage working capital, and coordinate audits while partnering with General Managers of Operations.

The role requires a CA(SA) with extensive post-articles experience, strong leadership, and hands-on operational engagement to validate financial information on site.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) essential
• Minimum 8 years post-articles experience, including senior management exposure
• Strong operational finance background (equipment, mining, manufacturing or similar)
• Experience managing internal controls, compliance and working capital
• Proven ability to work closely with operational managers and challenge assumptions
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance, tax legislation and financial reporting
• Experience managing small multidisciplinary teams
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership capability
• SAP/ERP systems experience advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead financial governance, reporting and compliance for the division
• Oversee shared services functions (general ledger, accounts payable, intercompany)
• Manage internal controls and ensure adherence to governance standards
• Review and approve general ledger reconciliations, including payroll
• Drive working capital optimisation and weekly cash forecasting
• Partner with operational teams to validate work-in-progress and operational costing
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address findings promptly
• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
• Implement system and process improvements across finance operations
• Manage supplier relationships and regional risk registers
• Coach, develop and lead a multidisciplinary finance team
• Support operational decision-making with financial and commercial insight

The Finance Manager will oversee shared services functions, working capital, audit processes, and a small multidisciplinary finance team. This role suits a hands-on leader who is comfortable validating financial information both analytically and through on-site operational engagement.
