Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced Finance Specialist to join a global independent power producer in Cape Town on a fixed-term 1-year contract. The role covers finance across renewable energy assets from development to operations.

The successful candidate will manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury, tax compliance and audits, with exposure to multiple SPVs and lender reporting.

Finance Manager | Renewable Energy | Cape Town

Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (1 Year)

We’re partnering with a global independent power producer to appoint an experienced Finance Specialist to join their growing renewable energy business in South Africa.

This is a broad finance role offering exposure across renewable energy assets at different stages of the project lifecycle, from development and construction through to operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Budgeting, forecasting, cost control and long-term planning
• Financial reporting and annual financial statements
• Cash flow, treasury and debt management
• Tax compliance, including CIT, VAT and WHT
• Managing finance activities across multiple SPVs
• Coordinating internal and external audits
• Lender reporting and compliance with finance agreements
• Supporting equity/debt financing and project stakeholder management

CA(SA) or similar qualification

Minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience

Previous REIPPPP experience, ideally spanning bidding, financial close, construction and operations

Strong understanding of the South African renewable energy environment

Microsoft Business Central experience would be advantageous
