Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is partnering with a global independent power producer in South Africa to appoint an experienced Finance Specialist to join their renewable energy team. This role offers exposure across assets from development to operations.

Key duties include budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, tax compliance, and lender reporting across multiple SPVs. CA(SA) or similar qualification and 6+ years post-qualification experience are required, with

• CA(SA) or similar qualification.
• 6+ years post-qualification experience.
• REIPPPP experience, ideally spanning bidding, financial close, construction and operations.
• Strong understanding of the South African renewable energy environment.
• Microsoft Business Central experience would be advantageous.

We’re partnering with a global independent power producer to appoint an experienced Finance Specialist to join their growing renewable energy business in South Africa.

This is a broad finance role offering exposure across renewable energy assets at different stages of the project lifecycle, from development and construction through to operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Budgeting, forecasting, cost control and long-term planning

• Financial reporting and annual financial statements

• Cash flow, treasury and debt management

• Tax compliance, including CIT, VAT and WHT

• Managing finance activities across multiple SPVs

• Coordinating internal and external audits

• Lender reporting and compliance with finance agreements

• Supporting equity/debt financing and project stakeholder management

We’re looking for:

• CA(SA) or similar qualification

• Minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience

• Previous REIPPPP experience, ideally spanning bidding, financial close, construction and operations

• Strong understanding of the South African renewable energy environment
