THE SKILLS MINE is seeking a qualified finance leader to oversee financial management in Johannesburg. This role requires strong leadership in budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance with regulations.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in financial reporting, risk management, and staff supervision, ideally within the higher education or education technology sectors. Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft AX is essential to drive financial strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in financial management.
• 5+ years’ experience in staff management.
• Experience within higher education and education technology beneficial.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Experience with audits, compliance, and risk management.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement financial reporting and cash flow management strategies.
• Prepare and oversee monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Analyse financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across departments.
• Monitor financial performance and manage budget variances.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Manage and lead finance team, including performance management and recruitment.
• Oversee financial systems and drive process improvements.
• Manage B-BBEE financial compliance and reporting.
• Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and analysis.
