Springer Nature is seeking a Finance Graduate Intern to join our Finance team in Johannesburg. This role offers practical experience across day-to-day financial processes, reporting, reconciliations and administrative activities, paired with mentoring from seasoned colleagues.

You will learn how a finance function supports a global publishing business and gain exposure to accounts payable/receivable, financial controls, and ad hoc projects, building the foundations for a career in finance.

Qualifikationen

• A recently completed or near-completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Interest in developing a career in Finance.

• Good numerical and analytical skills.

We are looking for a Finance Graduate Intern to join our Finance team at Macmillan Education

This is an opportunity for a recent graduate to gain practical experience across a range of finance activities while developing the technical and professional skills needed to build a career in finance.

You will work alongside experienced finance colleagues and gain exposure to day-to-day financial processes, reporting, reconciliations and administrative activities. The role will provide you with an opportunity to learn, ask questions, take on responsibility and develop your understanding of how a finance function supports a business.

Role Responsibilities

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• A recently completed or near-completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field.
• An interest in developing a career in Finance.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Good numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to work accurately with financial information.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

• Previous internship, vacation work or other practical exposure to a finance environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet application.
• Exposure to a financial or enterprise resource planning system would be advantageous, but is not essential.
