Springer Nature, in collaboration with Macmillan Education, seeks a Finance Graduate Intern in Johannesburg to gain practical experience across a range of finance activities. You will work with experienced colleagues on daily financial processes, reporting, reconciliations and administrative tasks.

The role offers learning opportunities, exposure to core finance functions, and a chance to develop technical and professional skills for a career in finance.

Qualifications

• Recently completed or near-completed degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Interest in developing a career in Finance.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Support the Finance team with day-to-day financial and administrative activities.
• Assist with processing, checking and maintaining financial information and records.
• Support account reconciliations and investigate differences or discrepancies where required.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, schedules and supporting documentation.
• Capture and maintain accurate financial information in relevant systems.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable and other finance processes as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and other areas of the business to resolve queries and obtain information.
• Follow established financial processes, controls and procedures while developing an understanding of why they are important.
• Support ad hoc finance projects and activities that provide opportunities to learn and develop.
