About the Role
PedroPortia Lounge, located in Fourways (Lonehill) is looking for an organised and detail-oriented Hospitality Finance Coordinator to support our restaurant’s daily financial and operational processes.
This hands-on role covers cash-ups, payroll preparation, supplier administration, procurement, inventory tracking, reconciliations, and month-end support. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping skills, hospitality or retail experience, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile daily POS sales, cash, card payments, delivery platforms, vouchers, refunds, discounts, and deposits.
- Review cash-up documentation and investigate shortages, overages, voids, and other discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly payroll inputs, including hours worked, overtime, leave, allowances, deductions, new starters, and terminations.
- Review payroll reports and investigate material month-on-month variances.
- Process and match purchase orders, goods-received records, supplier invoices, and credit notes.
- Maintain supplier records, reconcile statements, and prepare payment schedules for approval.
- Coordinate regular food, beverage, packaging, and consumable stock counts.
- Investigate stock variances, wastage, negative inventory, and differences between theoretical and actual usage.
- Support food-cost, beverage-cost, gross-margin, and menu-costing analysis.
- Reconcile bank, card, payroll, supplier, inventory, and other control accounts.
- Prepare month-end schedules and operational finance reports for management.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready financial records.
- Help improve financial controls and administrative processes across the restaurant.
Candidate Requirements
- Two to four years of relevant bookkeeping, finance administration, payroll, accounts payable, or inventory-control experience.
- Hospitality, restaurant, hotel, catering, or retail experience is strongly preferred.
- Practical experience with daily cash-ups, reconciliations, payroll inputs, supplier invoices, and stock control.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or a similar platform is a plus.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS, payroll, time-and-attendance, or inventory systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, commercial awareness, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Availability to assist with month-end, payroll deadlines, and scheduled stock counts.
