Finance and Admin Team Leader — Full-time

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the finance department’s day-to-day operations and ensure administrative tasks are run efficiently.
- Manage budgets, supervise the finance and administration team, and liaise with other units in the company.
- Accounts Receivable: manage billing cycles, analyze customers, maintain the Customer Masterfile, generate invoices, prepare a monthly invoice upload file, produce monthly insight files for operations and sales, manage the customer query process, and perform other ad-hoc activities.
- Accounts Receivable: post customer receipts, issue weekly AR reports, own the credit control process, prepare and present weekly Credit Control reports (Top 20 overdue), attend Weekly Credit Control meetings, maintain the Customer Masterfile, support ad-hoc finance activities, assist with BYC invoices and statements, perform debtors reconciliation, and send statements/reminders.
- Accounts Payable and Management: oversee daily accounting operations, timely monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, analyze data to produce accurate financial reports, coordinate budget planning and forecasting, administer AP/AR, supervise payroll, implement proper accounting controls and financial policies, manage cash flow and forecasting, conduct ledger reconciliations.
- Administrative Duties: organize and oversee office operations, establish policies, manage office space and vendor procurement, handle escalated administrative matters, provide leadership and coaching to administrative staff.
- Leadership Duties: mentor the finance and administration team, collaborate with other leaders, develop strategies to optimize financial performance and administrative workflows, foster transparency and accountability, participate in strategic planning as part of the management team.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA qualification is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience as a finance officer or in a similar role with solid knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and regulations.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office; analytical mindset with attention to detail; ability to manage time and multitask.
- Minimum 5 years of finance experience; Matric; entry-level finance qualification acceptable.
- English language proficiency required.
- Driver’s license preferred; willingness to commute or relocate to Pretoria.
- Reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or senior executive, depending on structure.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: R18,500.00 per month
