Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Wellhead Systems Technician to support operations in Soweto, Gauteng. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of wellhead equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

You will perform inspections, diagnose issues, read technical drawings, and ensure compliance with procedures and industry standards while coordinating with field engineers on service delivery.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification or certification in Mechanical Fitting, Trades, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with wellhead systems in Oil & Gas or related environments.
• Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair wellhead equipment and associated components.
• Perform routine checks and functional tests on wellhead systems to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with wellhead equipment and implement repairs.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
• Collaborate with field engineers and supervisors to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies related to wellhead systems.
