Job summary

A technology service provider seeks a Field Technician in KwaZulu-Natal to provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, and servers. The ideal candidate should have robust networking skills, experience in cloud solutions (especially Microsoft 365), and an understanding of network architecture. Must be bilingual in English and Afrikaans and have a valid driver's license. Additional attributes include strong organizational skills and punctuality. This role involves after-hours standby and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven field experience and a positive attitude towards solving technical issues.
• Solid understanding of network architecture, server environments, and desktop systems.
• Strong organizational skills focused on administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on hardware and software support for desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Configure and maintain Ubiquiti and Sophos environments.
• Implement and troubleshoot VLANs and routing protocols.
• Resolve issues within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Maintain job cards and tracking systems accurately.
• Participate in after-hours standby rotation.
