Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Services Technician to service and maintain Universal Dosing Systems (UDS) across an assigned territory. These dosing systems are used for the delivery of feed additives, bio-conditioning ingredients, and biosecurity & hygiene products into animal feed production. The role blends technical fieldwork with customer service and requires extensive travel.

Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain Universal Dosing Systems in line with the call cycle and service plans.
  • Troubleshoot and repair dosing system issues, ensuring fast turnaround times.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise system downtime.
  • Prepare thoroughly for customer visits and ensure accurate, up-to-date service reporting.
  • Provide technical support and product expertise to customers, helping identify opportunities to improve dosing efficiency and discover new system applications.
  • Build strong relationships with feed producers and mill managers to deliver service excellence.
  • Gather customer feedback on dosing systems and related products, sharing insights with management.
  • Monitor competitor activity and advise management on risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Grade 12 plus a relevant technical diploma or degree (Chemical or Mechanical).
  • Minimum 4 years of technical experience; prior exposure to dosing systems, feed additives, or chemical dosing equipment is advantageous.
  • Experience working with animal feed production processes, dosing pumps, or automated feed mixing systems will be highly regarded.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, CRM).
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
