This role is critical for providing essential on-site support, including installation, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment. You will be the face of the company to our customers in this region, ensuring their systems operate at peak performance. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem‑solver with strong technical abilities and a commitment to excellent customer service, contributing directly to the success of the Installation & Maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair equipment at customer locations according to technical specifications.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Conduct post-installation checks and ensure customer satisfaction with the work performed.
• Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and job reports.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during field operations.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed within the assigned territory.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar technical role within the Installation & Maintenance industry.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic principles.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and be comfortable traveling within the Upington area and its surrounds.
