Job summary

Placements24 in Benoni is recruiting a Field Service Technician for power generation equipment. You will install, maintain, and repair generators and related power systems at client sites, requiring strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and a commitment to excellent on-site service.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, install new generator sets, test performance, and keep accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NQF 4/5).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience servicing and repairing power generation equipment, particularly generators.
• Strong diagnostic skills for both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with engine control systems and power distribution.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively to client locations.
