Job summary

GE Healthcare is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Cyclotron, PET/CT, CT, and Nuclear Medicine systems across Gauteng and beyond. The role demands strong preventive maintenance, calibration, fault diagnosis, and complex repair skills across electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software components.

You will conduct advanced troubleshooting to restore performance, generate technical reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of field service engineering experience required.
• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience servicing Cyclotron systems in radiopharmacy preferred; PET/CT, CT, or Nuclear Medicine experience acceptable.
• Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Advanced troubleshooting, fault-finding, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills; fluent English.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Gauteng with some travel to other African countries.

What We're Looking For

• 4-5+ years of Field Service Engineering experience.
• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience servicing Cyclotron systems in a radiopharmacy environment is strongly preferred.
• Alternatively, extensive hands-on experience with PET/CT, CT, or Nuclear Medicine systems.
• Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Advanced troubleshooting, fault-finding, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the Gauteng region, with occasional travel to other African countries.
