Placements24 is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Centurion, Gauteng. The role combines on-site installation, maintenance, and remote planning with regular site visits to ensure client operations run smoothly.

You will diagnose electro‑mechanical systems, support complex machinery, and work with a remote engineering team to implement improvements. Travel within Centurion and surrounding areas is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electro‑mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems and automation.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain sophisticated machinery and technical systems at client locations.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot complex technical problems on-site.
• Provide expert technical assistance and guidance to clients during and after installation.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Document all service activities, repairs, and maintenance performed, providing detailed reports.
