Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to support clients in and around Randburg. You will install, commission, service, and maintain electrical equipment, diagnose issues, and ensure optimal performance while traveling within Gauteng.

The role combines field work with remote admin tasks in a hybrid model. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in field service, strong diagnostic skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service or technical support for electrical equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power electronics, motor controls, and industrial automation.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in the field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service electrical equipment and systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and upgrades to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Provide technical training and support to customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Generate detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, findings, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the internal engineering and sales teams to address customer needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
