Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Telecoms Installation Specialist to join the Vereeniging operations team. You will install, test, and configure telecom cabling and hardware at residential and business premises, ensuring quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electronics or telecommunications is a plus.
• Demonstrable experience in telecom installation or a related field.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Physical fitness and willingness to work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test various types of telecommunications cabling, including fiber optic and copper.
• Mount and connect telecommunications hardware such as routers, switches, modems, and access points.
• Perform system checks and configurations to ensure seamless integration of new installations.
• Adhere strictly to installation standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Provide basic user guidance to clients upon completion of installations.
