Job summary

BevCo is seeking a Market Development Representative for Pietermaritzburg to grow informal trade channels such as spazas, mini-supermarkets, and tuckshops. You will manage relationships, seed BevCo portfolios, and support local activations under defined governance.

The role requires understanding of informal retail dynamics in the area and a commitment to achieving defined call and growth targets through active fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 is required.
• Up to 2 years' experience in FMCG sales or related roles.
• Basic PC skills and familiarity with common software.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage and open relationships with informal outlets on BevCo's behalf.
• Seed BevCo's portfolio in a defined area and maintain relationships weekly/monthly.
• Facilitate BevCo purchases from local wholesalers and distributors.
• Ensure assets (refrigeration, signage) are managed per governance requirements.
• Support marketing activations, promotions, and POSM for the area.
