Placements24 is seeking an On-Site Installation Engineer in Durban to lead the installation of complex systems at client sites. You will configure, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure performance aligns with specifications.

The role requires reading technical drawings, understanding mechanical/electrical components, and a meticulous approach to quality and safety. Travel to project sites around Durban is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals.
Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical system components.
Meticulous, safety-focused with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute the physical installation of equipment and systems according to project plans and technical specifications.
Perform system configurations, calibrations, and initial testing to ensure optimal performance post-installation.
Identify and resolve installation-related issues promptly and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and site-specific protocols during installation activities.
Provide basic training and handover documentation to client representatives upon project completion.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with project managers and client stakeholders regarding installation progress and timelines.
