Job summary

Metropolitan Life Ltd. is seeking a proactive Sales Advisor to attract, acquire and retain clients by selling company products and providing after-sales service to enhance client retention and market share in South Africa.

The role requires 2–3 years in field sales, insurance or financial services, a matric/NQF4 qualification, FAIS compliance, and RE5. A valid driver’s license is desirable to cover client visits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a Field Sales/Call Centre environment (FIELD SALES is essential)
• 2 years’ experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry rendering financial advice (advantageous)
• Matric or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications
• National Senior Certificate in Finance/Business Management and/or equivalent relevant qualification
• FAIS Compliance Requirements
• RE 5 regulatory examination
• Driver’s license and own transport (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective clients to highlight features and benefits of products based on financial wellness needs.
• Sell products in line with client’s financial needs by conducting affordability analysis.
• Advise on tax and legal implications of products or changes.
• Accurately capture client information, actions and sales on systems.
• Complete all administrative and reporting requirements within set timeframes.
• Achieve targets on production, quality and conversion.
• Adhere to compliance requirements in the sales process.
• Provide financial advice aligned with engagement strategy.
