Job summary

Vox Telecommunications in South Africa is seeking an Engineer – Voice/Data/Wireless Services to install and maintain voice, data and wireless services for customers in diverse regional sites. This field-based role requires hands-on technical capability and the ability to work independently on site while coordinating with teammates.

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) or N4 Electronics/IT is required.
2 years' experience in VoIP installations and maintenance.
2 years' experience in data installations and maintenance (ADSL, MPLS, VPN, firewalls).
2 years' working knowledge of GSM, VoIP, data and customer service management.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain FttH and FttB routers.
Install WiFi access points.
Install and maintain wireless equipment including Comsol, satellite and Tarana.
Install, configure and support 3CX voice solutions.
Conduct site surveys and use power tools and ladders safely.
Use testing equipment for commissioning and maintenance of Vox Telecom products.
