Job summary

Staff Solutions is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose faults, troubleshoot battery systems, and perform assembly, rebuilding, and testing of lead-acid and lithium batteries. The role includes field service, delivering batteries to customers, and ensuring safety standards on site.

The ideal candidate has a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, at least three years’ experience with batteries, and a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Requires National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years' experience with lithium batteries and electrical components.
• Qualified electrician or electronics technician with practical lithium battery experience.
• General knowledge of battery systems and charging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer sites or workshop.
• Assemble, rebuild and maintain batteries and battery chargers.
• Test batteries, chargers and related components for safety and function.
• Provide field service and deliver batteries and chargers to customers as required.
• Follow OHSACT and safety procedures in workshop and on customer premises.
• Maintain and improve technical knowledge through ongoing training.
